چکیده
Abstract The cornea is a part of the anterior segment eye that plays an essential optical role in refracting light rays on retina. Cornea also preserves shape eyeball and constitutes mechanical barrier, protecting against factors external environment. structure influences its biomechanical properties ensures appropriate load transfer (that depends environment intraocular pressure) while maintaining (to certain extent) transparency. assessment corneal biomechanics important clinical ophthalmology, e.g. diagnosis ectatic diseases, for precise planning refractive surgery, accurate determination pressure. A standard technique to determine requires application well-defined stimulus (e.g. air puff) performing simultaneous imaging response tissue stimulus. number methods assess have been developed, including ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, as visualization modalities. Commercially available include ocular analyzer (ORA) scheimpflug technology (Corvis ST). Currently advanced research conducted using coherence tomography (OCT). extension OCT called elastography (OCE) possesses high potential due speed, noncontact character, resolution images.

BACKGROUND To investigate the biomechanical properties of the cornea measured with the Ocular Response Analyzer (ORA) and their association with the anterior segment parameters representing the geometric dimensions including the corneal volume and anterior chamber volume. METHODS A retrospective review of 1020 patients who visited the BGN Eye Clinic was done. The mean radius of the corneal cu...

PURPOSE To determine corneal biomechanical properties in patients with high myopia. DESIGN Observational study. METHODS High myopia patients (n=45, age: 37.0+/-12.6 years) with refractive errors of spherical equivalent (SE) greater than -9.00D were recruited in this study along with healthy subjects (n=90, age: 33.7+/-12.4 years) with refractive errors of SE ranging from 0D to -3.00D. Only ...
